What up Populous? Here is a little story about Circus Gold’s Globe Trottin’ Amigo, Tim Brown, and the friends he made during his extensive World Travels, more specifically, The Philippines.
(The Philippines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
You see the while acting as the Vanilla in Manila, our man TB was busy curating an International Art Show…
Official Press Release:
Bayanihan, the fourth installment Okay Mountain’s international “No American Talent” series, is a new show of artists from the Philippines curated by Mountaineer Tim Brown. The title refers to a term with many meanings- Bayanihan can be a place, like a town, state or nation, but it can also be a spirit of community shared between people that literally means
“being a hero to one another.”
Manny Pacquiao, PacMan, Filipino Southpaw Boxing Champ and one of TIME magazine most influential People of the Year.
In this show, we present a varied group of 9 emerging artists who address this complex word and the relationship they share with their families, their city, their country, and each other.
Featured artists : Poklong Anading, Bea Camacho, Mariano Ching, Lena Cobangbang, Louie Cordero, Romeo Lee, Kaloy Olavides, Gary-Ross Pastrana, & MM Yu.

Everyone showed up to high five.

Curatorial Powerhouse busts his ‘mac’ while leaning against an eloquent installation on the gallery’s bay door. They were some sort of see through photos of random homemade ‘Sham Wow‘s that are prevalent in the Philippines due the bustling textile industry. Neato Burrito.

They’re just scraps simply sewn with a spiral, right? Then why do I want to eat them?

Delicious yet Filthy Sticky Buns made of clothe.

Louie Cordero? Not sure, feels like it. I lost my notebook after the show while chasing after a roach coach.

You talkin’ to me?

Everyone was hyped on heroism.

The show ends on May 26th, so you’d probably rush over there in a Helicopter.
More Manny…
