Nathan Green’s April Art Palace Austin appearance proved to be his best yet, in this author’s opinion. Following the über child like heart of his expressions, the show was named after what is presumably to be his favorite children’s book classic, ‘Happy Birthday, Moon’, by Frank Asch. This excited me to no end seeing how I own Asch’s other epic, ‘Popcorn Party’, but I digress (back to the show).

After the success of the two man show with Eric Gibbons, Lasers in the Jungle, Green decided to take it up a notch and include sculptures and Mural installation, the latter of which he constructed a wall for which to paint on (photos of which include some sculptures and local dignitaries).

Green manipulates a mass of painted paper pieces into cool collages, constructing a marsh-mellow(y) dream world of good thoughts. He appears to paint with globs of wet* and then uses scissors to harden the edges and eventually amassing the pieces into a pleasing puzzle.

As always, with anything Green (whose an Okay Mountaineer in his spare time), a ball(er ass party) ensued afterwards at his home that featured lots of beer and shoes.
Love Always,

12 shoes counting open toed, interesting art and post.
Is this 4real? jus sounds like a description of the artist’s process covered in bullshit poetry, what gives?
4 real must not be very smart, who doesn’t like a good writer?
It’s for real alright, and fits the formulaic style of arts writing: Description of process, flattery, statement of possible influences, and sprinkled with back handed compliments, all of which is smothered in vague poetry. Because after all, it’s about the art and not the writer.
