Rammelzee vs K-Rob — Beat Bop

IN THE YEAR 1980 The president of Sicily, Piersanti Mattarella, was assassinated by the Mafia.The Downtown NYC No-Wave Scene and the rap/breakdance/graffiti scene from the Bronx was becoming the most important cultural movement of the late Twentieth Century. Israel and Egypt had just established diplomatic relations and where discussing the ancesters of the countries.The rare leap year was setting in .In the united States A street artist by the name Basquiat was introduced to a grafitti bomber that went by the name Rammelzee .

Rammellzee was helping to build hip-hop’s earliest original foundation of hip-hop style. He began his art career bombing New York City subway trains. Dynamite D, a conductor who rhymed boasts of the superior condition of his super clean D-train over the train’s intercom, was the originally Rammellzee and where the name originated from. Rammellze the graffiti spray painter Partnered with MCs Shock Dell and Jamal, and began the earliest hip-hop sound system battles, where he developed the “W.C. Fields” and “Gangsta Duck” voices originated by Jamal. Rammellzee employed the “Gangsta Duck” on “Beat Bop,” a dense dialogue with K-Rob, while Jean Michel Basquiat produced, Recorded, and released the song on Profile Records. “Beat Bop” was the result of some improvisation of Rammellzee playing a pimp, K-Rob in the character of a kid heading to school, and Basquiat as the third rhymer and money man to getting the song recorded and released to the civillians. After RammelLzee and K-ROB argued that Basquiats lyrics he had written for the song were not up to par and would be not making the cut on the released soundtrack. THEY asked Basquiat to design the record cover to the track ,as seen below. As for the lyrical conclusion of the track K-ROB TOWERS the song with the best rhythem and rhyme.
